Kids Karneval Party at EAE

Help us bring Karneval to the Children at the EAE, a Refugee Intake Center in Cologne. We will create costumes for kids, offer activities and games for them to play.

When: 15 February, from 14:00 to 16:30 (Registration closes February 10)

Where: Erstaufnahmeeinrichtung Köln Schönhauser Str. 10-16, 50968 Köln

Please also come in costume and bring your ID to get through security.

Sülz Karneval Parade

Help us get the word out and promote “Serve the City Cologne” as we hand out treats, wave at spectators and walk in the neighborhood Karneval parade of Sülz. This is a way to experience the Cologne culture and will be a fun time for everyone.

All participants will get a SERVE THE CITY KOELN T-shirt and Hat. Please also dress up with white, red and/or Cologne accessories. We will have extra supplies available. As well as candy and things to toss to the crowd.

REGISTRATION is required as we a have limited number of spots.

Date: 17 February from 12pm, Parade starts punctually at 13:00 ( will last approx. 3-4 hours)

Meeting place: Auerbachplatz/Gerolsteiner Straße

Parade Route: Gerolsteiner Straße – Münstereifeler Straße – Sülzgürtel – Zülpicher Straße – Weyertal – Arnulfstraße – Luxemburger Straße – Sülzgürtel – Berrenrather Staße

We’re looking for ongoing volunteers for projects in the

EAE (European Homecare) Köln!

We work passionately for the wellbeing of Refugees in the EAE Köln (Refugee First- Intake Center). Our mission is to support the residents in their daily lives as well as to improve their quality of life through a variety of projects. We need your help in this valuable work.

WHAT WE DO:

• Sports Projects: We organize regular sports and activities to help improve community and fitness for the residents. Whether through Football tournaments, Volleyball matches or Picnics in the park, there is something available for everyone.
• Art Projects: Creativity knows no borders! We offer a variety of activities ranging from painting workshops to theater productions to music projects. Everyone has the chance to discover their artistic talents.
• Beautification Projects: With our beautification projects we seek to improve and beautify the Refugee center and its surroundings. These include gardening, renovation, and other creative ways to bring more beauty into the community.

WHY GET INVOLVED?

• Have new experiences: Get to know people from different cultures and gain valuable volunteer experience.
